Earth1618

Working build

Carbon and waste calculators, compliance, industry monitors and assurance-ready Scope 3 evidence

Earth1618 gives a reporting team its carbon calculators, its waste-avoidance record and its compliance evidence in one living base that its people actually build — with industry monitors, the sector-by-sector view of where a disclosure stands, as its confirmed next surface. Capture commuting and travel as it happens, grade how well each record is evidenced, act on it, reconcile it — and hand your assurance team a pack they re-check themselves. Engagement and disclosure finally come from the same source. The number you publish is one you can stand behind, and the team that traces every number owns the conversation with its assurer.

What it is for

Reporting entities in Australia, the EU and a growing list of markets must now disclose Scope 3 emissions — yet the two categories that touch every services organisation, employee commuting and business travel, are still gathered by spreadsheet survey once a year. Sustainability teams end up defending numbers they cannot trace to a source. The team that can trace every number owns the conversation with its assurer.

  • Employers and reporting entities with a Scope 3 disclosure obligation, and the suppliers they cascade it to
  • Councils and utilities running community sustainability programmes
  • Banks, mutuals and brands wanting green engagement that stands up to scrutiny
  • Sustainability, risk and legal teams who own the defensibility of a published claim

What you get

  1. Assurance-ready Scope 3 evidence

Commuting and business-travel activity leaves the platform as a structured evidence pack with a machine-readable export — the artefact an assurance team works from, instead of a survey spreadsheet and a covering email.

  2. Participation that produces evidence, not vanity metrics

Staff, residents or members take part through a branded app; every action they log becomes a graded record in your evidence base, so engagement numbers and disclosure numbers come from the same source.

  3. Honest confidence, stated on the artefact

Every record carries a confidence grade reflecting how strongly its source is evidenced, and the pack reports the distribution rather than rounding it up. An assurer trusts a pack that says what proportion is high-confidence far more than one claiming certainty.

  4. Independent re-verification

An evidence pack is built to be re-checked by whoever holds it. The export format and the verification recipe ship with the product, and the in-browser verifier re-derives the pack locally with no call back to us.

  5. No hostage data

Records export in an open, versioned format with a published schema. If you leave, the evidence walks out with you and remains provable.

  6. Industry monitors — the confirmed next surface

A sector-by-sector reading of where a disclosure stands against its peers and its obligations, built from the same graded evidence base. Confirmed direction for the platform.

Without asking us

What you can check for yourself

  • Paste an evidence pack into the in-browser verifier: the browser re-derives its integrity locally and offline, or points to the exact record where it was altered.

  • Run the cross-period continuity check to confirm this period’s pack is an append-only continuation of the last.

  • Check a pack against a receipt you downloaded earlier and kept in your own custody.

Earth1618 keeps a tamper-evident record. Independent third-party timestamping is not implemented here, and we do not claim it.

What a demonstration shows

  • Branded member app on iOS, Android and web for capturing everyday actions
  • Operator console taking a programme through capture, verify, act and reconcile in one place
  • Footprint calculator covering Scope 1, 2 and 3 with regional factor sets
  • Confidence view listing every captured record by how well it is evidenced
  • Evidence pack builder with structured and spreadsheet-friendly exports
  • Public verification page — paste a pack and re-derive its integrity in the browser
  • Published export specification with a downloadable machine-readable schema
  • Offset retirement register for cancelling credits against a measured residual footprint

Built on

  • Mobile-first cross-platform application — iOS, Android and web
  • Cloud relational system of record with per-tenant isolation
  • Append-only, tamper-evident audit record
  • Encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Open, versioned export format — your data, exportable at any time

This names what the platform is built on, not how it is built. The how is shown in a technical deep-dive, under a mutual NDA.

Where this actually is

Working build

The full product runs end to end today on a seeded demonstration dataset. Production connectors and live tenancies are next.

Earth1618 is a working build.

This platform grades the provenance of evidence. It does not rate an organisation’s environmental performance, it does not issue or trade carbon credits, and it does not make a neutrality claim on anyone’s behalf. Credits can only be retired against a measured residual footprint.

Australia · Vietnam

Why this travels across the two markets

Vietnamese exporters and manufacturers are being asked for the same Scope 3 evidence Australian reporting entities must now disclose — the obligation cascades from buyer to supplier. It suits a pilot cohort with an employer, council or university producing a real commuting and travel evidence pack; white-label distribution into the Vietnamese market, where the interface already ships in Vietnamese; and research collaboration with a university on the grading methodology itself.
